Indication(s)
OZEMPIC is indicated for the treatment of adults with insufficiently controlled type 2 diabetes mellitus as an adjunct to diet and exercise:
- as monotherapy when metformin is not tolerated or contraindicated
- in addition to other medicinal products for the treatment of type 2 diabetes.
The beginning dose is 1 mg once a week for the first 4 weeks. This will help give your body a chance to get used to the medicine.
Taking Ozempic®
Take Ozempic® once a week, on the same day every week, exactly as prescribed by your health care provider.
You can take Ozempic® with or without food.
You may change the day of the week you use Ozempic® as long as your last dose was taken 2 or more days before.
